Armour is made with 18-14 gauge mild steel and comes standard with a munitions grade finish. Munitions grade items are sanded to approximately a 120-220 grit finish, then polished with a wire-wheel (brushed) that leaves the metal with a dull grey finish. All steel is new material and Canadian made (no recycled materials are used). Armour comes standard with either .50 or .75 inch nickel buckles (depending on the application). Leather weights (thickness) vary depending on the item, but leather is normally black in colour. As all Woods Armoury products are hand-crafted, they may not appear exactly as shown in photographs. Minor variations in shape and finish are to be expected when it comes to hand-crafted and individually manufactured products. Typically armour items are sized to allow for .25 inches of padding.
